Life Map
Senior Autobiography
Ever since I was young, I had to work with my parents to help support my family. I was born and raised in a small town named Lindsay, California; I grew up with both of my parents and my four siblings. Honestly, I was never really interested in school but what motivated me to do well in school was making my parents proud by graduating from high school and obtaining a well-paid job by pursuing an education after high school. During school, my objective was getting my work completed so I wouldn’t have to worry about it in the future. Outside of school my goal is similar, I would go to work in the fields with my parents and I would always work my hardest so my parents would get a little extra money so they wouldn't have to worry as much. My parents have sacrificed so much to get me and my siblings where we are today, and I feel I've also worked hard to get where I am right now. There’s a saying that I can relate to, “In order to get the best in life, we should be able to take risks.” Once I began junior high, I knew I wasn’t a little kid anymore and I had to start thinking about my future and taking care of myself.
During junior high, I played football in the late spring because I was interested in joining sports at that time. While playing sports, I found out that not everything was going to be easy, I learned that I needed to put in effort and work hard to get where I want. In 7th grade, I made a big mistake by failing most of my classes. Later on in 8th grade, I worked hard in all of my classes just to get caught up in school so the same thing won’t happen again. I got caught up and I was ready to begin high school the next year. I was nervous because I would hear things like high school is a lot harder and teachers weren’t going to be easy on the students. My first year at LHS went alright; I completed 6 out of 7 classes.
Right after Freshman year, I learned that I was on my own already and that I had to take care myself from now on. No one was going to be there for me except myself. I was finally on my own. After Sophomore year going on to Junior year, I couldn’t mess up anymore; this was my last chance to make everything right before I graduate from high school. Because I wanted to make my last years at high school right, I knew I was going to take some risks in order to get where I want to be. I thought my Junior year was difficult but actually Senior year is the year that put a lot of pressure on me. But all in all, I learned to handle everything by myself and I’m determined to overcome any obstacle.
