It’s the middle of the semester and so far in my senior year I’m doing pretty well in my in each of my classes. But at times some of my classes are getting more difficult as the semester goes on. Some classes where I’ve been struggling since the beginning were my Econ and English class. These classes have given a such a challenge with things like assignments, projects, and especially my senior project. It’s been very difficult trying stay on pace and keeping my grades up just to finish my classes by the end of the semester. So far, I think I’m at a good pace of finishing my classes; I know the work is going to keep adding up but I believe I will accomplish all my work in order to finish my classes.
Some things that I’ve been enjoying about my senior year is being able to hang out with my friends during and outside of school. I also like the fact that I’m completing all my assignments and staying on pace in school so I could all of this out of the way and I wouldn’t have to worry about it later on in the school year. Other than keeping my grades up and focusing on school, I’ve also made some post-graduation plans so I know what I’m going to do after finishing high school. In the beginning of the semester, I’ve talked with a representative from UTI to discuss making an appointment with me and my parents and talk about me wanting to attend the UTI campus up in Sacramento after I graduate. We’ve discuss why was I interested and how was it going be like whenever I’m attending UTI. The representative also discussed housing, scholarships, financial aid, and other things like that with me and my parents. Not that long ago, me and my dad went up to the UTI campus up in Sacramento to go take a look around the school. Once we saw it, we thought the campus was pretty huge and amazing. We took a tour of each workshop classroom on the campus. It was an amazing experience for me getting a glimpse of where I’m going after high school.
All in all, I believe I have been some great progress along my first semester of my senior year. In each of my classes, I’m right on pace with everyone else in my class and I’m meeting all the criteria in each class by completing my assignments and accomplishing my tasks. I don’t think anything is very difficult for me so far but who knows what’s coming for me in the future. Just because something’s hard doesn’t mean I should back out or wait for it to become any easier. We should all be able to overcome obstacles. By staying focused and motivated, I know and I can accomplish anything by the end of the semester and finish strong by the end of the school year in order to graduate and proceed with my future.
